Ashanti Douglas, popularly referred to as Ashanti and born in Glen Cove New York United States on October 13th 1980. She is a musician, singer and actor who hails from her native United States. Ashanti was first discovered when she was a teenager and eventually signed to Murder Inc. Records in 2002. She also appeared as a guest on The Fat Joe's What's Luv? The singer also appeared on Fat Joe's song What's the Luv? When she had Foolish and What's Luv at Number One it was her first woman to have two songs that were in the Billboard Hot 100 chart top ten of the United States. as number two.
